As you all know I am new to the quilting world. I have bought a patchwork foot, quilting foot 1/4 seam foot, I have a lot of fabric, Singer sewing machine, bernina serger, some notions, books, magazines, EQ5, computer patterns. I still need to get quilting notions rullers, patterns, thimbles, pins, and such. I would love to learn embroidery and applique for quilting when I become more familiar with the basic quilting concepts. My sewing room is now on the main floor behind the couch in the living room, I have a big table for cutting and then my sewing machine is on the other side of the room on a desk, I have my quilting bookshelf beside my desk, and a cabinet on the other side of the desk for my serger and notions and stuff, most of my fabric is in 68 L totes now I still need to get more totes though. :) I do have a fabric addiction.

HI Kelly,
I am looking to learn everything and anything to do with quilting. I have a lesson with Jen on Monday July 12th. I have Friday after 1pm open until September. I have been sewing since I turned 11 years old. LOL! I am now 23. I use to sew dog beds, pj's and crafts when I was younger. Now I am ready to start doing quilting and more crafts, I would love to be able to do dressmaking I may take a course by corispondince for it. I would love to be able to sell my work eventually and enter into craft fairs and quilt shows and such.

What do you mean by fabric art? I love art quilts 1 day I would wanna learn how to do them as well as stensilling, embroidery and applique. Your quilts you have posted are absolutely stuning. :)

Sorry about my spelling mistakes. :)

Hi Ashley,

What kind of lessons are you looking for? I do work till 4:30 Monday to Friday, but i get every other Friday off. Although I don't have a lot of pictures posted of my work, I have been sewing for 20 years. I went to school to make and design costumes for theatre and film. I make formal wear and drapes and stuff for lots of clients over the years. Now I mostly stick to quilts and fabric art.

So if you are looking for some basic things to get you started, I think I might be able to help.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers,
Kelly

Hey Jen,
I have not had any luck with lessons yet. :( I work until 1 pm Monday through Friday and then I home around 1:30 and still have the time to learn.

So all my material is now off of my sewing room floor, mostly all of it is prewashed and ready to be used, It is now down on my dinning room table folded on the 1 side. I have not had a lesson on quilting yet, I would really love lessons if anyone is able to help me learn. :)
