Hey Quilters,

Guess what????

I have teamed up with Quilts Of Valour - Canada, I am going to be making the kits for quilters to make quilts with. These quilts will be made for Canadian soilders so the theme is Canadian (maple leafs, mountains anything that represents Canada) they do not have to be traditional.

I would love some help either with making the kits or people to do the quilting (long arm, machine or hand quilting). I also need help with getting donations (100% cotton fabrics, thread, batting, long arm quilters or hand quilters, Financial support for supplies) for this charity but within our group name, (which means any donations we receive come to our group only).

Please join me in giving back to our CANADIAN soilders,

Would anyone be interested in sending me blocks (12.5" unfinished, Canadian themed Maple leafs, mountains, etc. 100% cotton, any type) to put into quilts for Quilts of Valour - Canada? However you won't get any back, as this if for a charity.

I would like you to sign your blocks somewhere on the right side up (Name and date anything else you feel comftorbable with), You can (but not needed) even send a card for the person who will be recieving the quilt with a pic of you and your block.

You can send 1 block or as many as you want.
Thanks for the support on this!

Thanks, Hugs!

Ashley

I have decided not to make the kits now, as there is not a BIG enough need for them. I do have some bins full of fabric that can be used to make the quilts for QoV. If anyone is interested in going through my bins to make the quilts for Qov, you are more than welcome too. Then I can get a bunch of finished quilts in a bin for Lesley so she can distribute them.

Hi Ashley - have you got anything going yet with your QoV?  I'm back, and could do some quilting if you've got any ready.   Bev
